Bulk Billing (Medicare)
LUSOT Health Medical Centre offers bulk-billed medical consultations only for patients who have a valid Medicare card.
Bulk billing means there is no out-of-pocket cost to you for your consultation. We bill Medicare directly on your behalf.
What you need:
- Valid Medicare card
- Medicare number and IRN (Individual Reference Number)
- Medicare card expiry date
Private Consultation
Patients without a Medicare card can book a private consultation which must be paid prior to the consultation.
Private Consultation Fees:
Important: Payment must be made in full before your scheduled consultation time. You will receive a receipt and invoice for your records.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I claim my private consultation on private health insurance?
Some private health insurance policies may provide rebates for GP consultations. Please check with your health fund. We provide itemized receipts with Medicare item numbers for your claim.
What if I have a Medicare card but it's expired?
You will need to renew your Medicare card before we can bulk bill your consultation. Alternatively, you can book a private consultation and claim the rebate from Medicare yourself.
Are prescriptions included in the consultation fee?
Yes, electronic prescriptions are included in your consultation fee when clinically appropriate. You only pay for the medication at your pharmacy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 2 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. For private consultations, cancellations with less than 2 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
